The Experience
Wet 'n' wild is the name of the game and "White Water Rafting in Northamptonshire" certainly is that! Nothing in the world can beat the stomach-turning white-knuckle experience of white water rafting. This is an Olympic grade training course! After your group have been provided with the necessary equipment, you will be transported to the start of the course with one of our highly experienced river guides. Here you will be given a fully safety briefing to prepare you for the adventure that awaits you.
Vital Information
Participants must be confident in open water and able to swim.
All participants must be at least 12 years old. If any members of the party are under 18 years of age a parental consent form must be completed and brought with you on the day.
All participants must weigh less than 114kg / 18 stone (chest size 122cm / 48 inch)
Please note if you book on as an individual there is a possibility that you may be put in a two man ducky, this is subject to rafting numbers and group sizes.
The Weather
"White Water Rafting in Northamptonshire" operates in most conditions but may be affected by extreme weather conditions or flooding.
Session Length
"White Water Rafting in Northamptonshire" will take up to one hour. This includes a brief instruction.
Numbers
Go on your own and join a group of up to 6 other adrenaline seekers. Or chose the White Water Rafting for 2 and go with a friend!
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch you go down the river or they can join you by booking in!
What To Wear
The Centre provides all participants with the following pieces of equipment:
A buoyancy aid or lifejacket, Helmet, Sleeveless wetsuit and a windproof jacket.
You must bring with you the following:
A spare pair of trainers or wetsuit boots (These will get wet), Some form of thermal top: sweatshirt or thermals, A towel, Spare set of clothing, Swimsuit, shorts or trunks for hygiene reasons under your wetsuit . The next item is only advisable if you have one, A head / bathing skullcap for warmth / hygiene under the helmet.
Availability
Subject to availability and water releases by the local river authority. We recommend booking six to eight weeks in advance. Spring and autumn are the best times to raft, as water levels are higher than in the drier summer months.
The Experience session runs on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holiday Mondays. If that doesn't suites you agenda, book in a group then you can go on every day in the week!
