Your Experience
The Survival Weekend will begin with an introduction to the safe use of Bushcraft Tools such as the Knife, Saw and Axe. We will then progress through a range of skills based on their priority to Wilderness Survival. The basic skills of Shelter Construction (yes you will be building your own shelter for the night), Fire lighting, finding and preparing Food and Water, Natural Cordage, Wilderness Cooking, Coastal Foraging and many other skills are crammed into this extremely worthwhile weekend.
Although course content will vary according to seasonal changes the survival weekend will cover.

Vital information
Minimum age is 18. You will cover several miles and must be reasonably physically fit to take part. You do not need any previous experience or survival training, just a sense of humour.
The Weather
If your weekend is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions it will be rescheduled for another time.
Session Length
"Survival Weekend - Basic in UK" runs from Saturday morning until noon on Sunday, including one night camping out.
Numbers
Group sizes vary depending, as a guide there will be between 8 to 12 people. A minimum of 4 people are requested to do this experience. Therefore, you might need to wait if your group is less than 4 people.
Spectators
"Survival Weekend - Basic in UK" is not suitable for spectators, but friends and family are welcome to meet you on your return to base, and should have a camera ready.
What To Wear
You'll receive full details of what to bring once you have booked. As a guide, you'll need stout walking boots, warm clothes and jacket, full waterproofs, a change of clothes in a plastic bag, gloves, hat, sleeping bag, training shoes and a rucksack.
