The Experience
Step into the world of Shakespeare with the Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour and experience the iconic Globe Theatre like never before. This 2-hour visit includes a 50-minute guided tour, along with time to explore the interactive exhibition space at your own pace.
Be transported back to the streets of 16th-century London as expert guides share the fascinating history of the Globe Theatre. Learn how the original 1599 theatre survived fire, plague, and political turmoil, only to be reborn in the 1990s through one man’s bold vision. Marvel at the craftsmanship of the Globe’s wooden ‘O’ and imagine the excitement of Elizabethan Londoners flocking to see Shakespeare’s legendary plays.
After the guided tour, you can explore our brand-new exhibition space. The interactive displays bring to life the magic of stagecraft, offering a glimpse into the hard work of the production teams.
