The Experience
You are going to get a taste of the underwater world with a scuba diving try-dive. In the secure surroundings of a training pool you'll be taught basic scuba techniques, including breathing, swimming and buoyancy. The session will give you the chance to familiarise yourself with the breathing equipment and experience the feeling of being underwater for a period of time.
Vital Information
You must be comfortable in water and in reasonable health. All participants are required to sign a medical declaration and disclaimer before commencing diving tuition. Chronic asthmatics, sufferers of diabetes, claustrophobia, respiratory, heart or other medical conditions must produce in advance a written medical approval from their arts in order to participate.
The Weather
The weather will not affect this experience, as it is held in a swimming pool.
Session Length
This experience will last for around two hours, but this may vary depending on the standard of pupils. Your time in the pool is around half an hour.
Spectators
Spectator facilities will vary from centre to centre - please ask when booking.
What To Wear
Bring a swimming costume, a towel and a T-shirt to wear in the water to cushion you from the scuba apparatus, which can sometimes rub against the skin. All other equipment will be provided, including your tank, mask and scuba gear.
