The Experience
Take to the skies in a 60-minute microlight flying lesson over Northumberland, where you can soar over five iconic castles in just one hour.
Start with a pre-flight briefing and suiting up—no need to bring anything but warm shoes! After boarding the aircraft, you'll taxi to the take-off point and experience an exhilarating ascent into the skies. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Northumberland’s stunning coastline and historic landmarks.
Your knowledgeable instructor will guide you on a scenic tour, sharing fascinating insights about the region’s rich history, from ancient Iron Age settlements to World War II sites.
The recommended route includes a takeoff from Atheys Moor, heading east to Warkworth Castle, then north along the coastline to Bamburgh Castle, passing Dunstanburgh Castle.
