The Experience
Your tour will begin in a 500-year-old pub, where you’ll savour a centuries-old London ale and sample a traditional pork pie. Outside, you will hear the fascinating story of Queen Elizabeth’s connection to the tree, setting the scene for your journey through London’s rich pub culture and food scene.
Next, you will head to an iconic pub on Fleet Street, once home to Sweeney Todd. Here, you will enjoy a refreshing pint of cider and a sausage roll in an establishment designed by the same architect as St. Paul's Cathedral.
Your third stop will take you back in time to a listed building, rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666 and once a favourite haunt of Charles Dickens. Indulge in devilled whitebait and a drink, just as he did over 150 years ago.
The final stop introduces you to cock ale, a historic London delicacy once believed to boost health. Though modern offerings are far more appealing, with choices like scotch eggs and portobello ales, you’ll also have a chance to try your hand at a classic pub game, adding a fun twist to the end of your tour.
With this tour you will immerse yourself in London’s best pubs, meet the custodians of these cherished spots, and experience their stories, drinks, and local delights like a true Londoner.
