The Experience
This is your chance to partake in a Helicopter Flying lesson! After a pre-flight briefing by an experienced instructor you will step into the cockpit, take to the sky and get a chance to take hold of the controls of the helicopter. This Helicopter Flying Lesson is a great first step on the path of becoming a qualified pilot and is a gift that won’t be forgotten.
Your Helicopter Flying Lesson includes:
15 minute flight where you will have control of the Helicopter
A pre-flight briefing by an experienced instructor
You’ll learn in a dual bladed, light utility and training helicopter
Shown briefly how the major aircraft control and power systems work
Start-up and shut down procedures
Opportunity to handle the controls and fly the helicopter yourself
Certificate awarded upon landing and time flown can be logged
Personalised photographs and In-flight recording can be purchased on the day.
A full post-flight debrief where all your questions will be answered
Vital Information
The maximum weight limit per person is 15 stone (95.3kg) and maximum Pilot Height is 6'2” / 188cm. Minimum Pilot Age is 10 years (adult supervision required for under 16s on airfield premises) Minimum Height 4’6” / 140cm.
You will be given an arrival time (this will be different to your actual lesson time .Lesson flight times may vary and are only approximate.
Flights at the weekend are subject to restrictions. For health and safety reasons, you must be able to speak and understand English.
Please ensure you have not consumed any alcohol for at least 24 hours before your lesson. If we suspect you have, then we reserve the right to refuse you on board the aircraft.
Pre-bookings are required and subject to availability.
Due to health and safety reasons you are required to be able to get in and out of the helicopter unaided.
The 30min trial lesson is a group lesson and is only available on selected weekdays. Longer 60/120min trial lessons are exclusive and have a greater flexibility on dates and days - please contact our customer service team for more information on upgrading.
The Weather
We reserve the right to postpone any lesson in the event of poor weather, Air Traffic restrictions, and circumstances beyond their control or other safety related issue.
Session Length
Your Helicopter Flying Lesson will last 30 minutes. This includes 15 minutes Flying Time.
Numbers
This experience is for one person. The 30min trial lesson is a group lesson and is only available on selected weekdays. The longer 60/120min trial lessons are exclusive and have a greater flexibility on dates and days.

What To Wear
Comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (i.e. no flip flops). Please keep in mind that the inside the cockpit can become very warm. Feel free to bring your sunglasses and to wear something colourful for your video & photographs!
