The Experience
Once you arrive at Hampton Court Palace, you will step back over 500 years and explore Henry VIII’s magnificent Great Hall, where royal feasts once took place, and the grand Tudor Kitchens that prepared banquets for up to 1,000 guests. You will continue to the Baroque palace added by William III and Mary II, where opulent design and period details await.
You can wander through Henry VIII’s private apartments, experiencing life as one of his courtiers with the opportunity to don a Tudor cloak for a truly immersive touch. Next, delve into the palace’s later history as you visit the Baroque apartments of William and Mary, dating to the late 17th century, and enjoy sweeping views over Hampton Court’s 60 acres of enchanting gardens.
The beautiful grounds extend to the River Thames, where sparkling fountains, colourful displays of seasonal blooms, and the formal Privy Garden showcase the timeless elegance of this royal estate.
End your visit by strolling through the garden paths, savouring the stunning scenery of flowering bulbs and the rich legacy of British royalty that thrives here.
